Psalm 78:35-37

³⁵ They would remember that God was their Rock [^Cthe one who protected them],
    that God Most High had ·saved [redeemed] them.
³⁶ But ·their words were false [^Lthey deceived/or flattered him with their mouths],
    and with their tongues they lied to him.
³⁷ Their hearts were not really ·loyal to [steadfast toward] God;
    they ·did not keep [were not faithful to] his ·agreement [covenant].
